Refunds for failed or cancelled runs
If a run fails or you cancel it while it waits, your credits come back on their own.
Credits are taken when a run starts. If the model doesn’t deliver — an error, a safety block, no result at all — the full charge comes back automatically. There’s no form to fill in and no one to ask. Refunds go back to your credit balance, not to your card.
What comes back
Batches that come back short
Ask for four pictures and get three, and the missing one is refunded — on every picture model. Most refund it straight away; the slower ones (Seedream 4.5, GPT Image 2, Wan 2.7, Grok Imagine 2, Ideogram Character and GPT Image 2 Edit) refund it when their run finishes. If a run returns nothing at all, the whole charge comes back.
Cancel a run that’s waiting
- 1Find the run’s card at the top of the result panel in the Studio. While it says Waiting in line, it shows Cancel · refund.
- 2Press it. The card reads “Cancelled — your credits are refunded.”
If the run started a moment before, you’ll see “It just started, so it can’t be cancelled now — it’ll land in your Library.”
Where you’ll see it
Your balance updates when the refund lands — if the number looks off for a moment, refresh. Every refund is listed as Refund in Transaction history on Credits & billing (click your balance in the top bar).
Refunds of a payment
A run refund returns credits, never money. Payments for plans, credits and offers are generally non-refundable, except where the law requires it. If something went wrong with a payment, email support@solorender.com and we’ll try to make it right.
