Seedance 2.0 and 2.5: bold camera moves, with sound

ByteDance's Seedance makes clips with sound from a prompt or a picture: 5 to 15 seconds on 2.0, up to 30 on 2.5. Two real results, and what it got right and missed.

Seedance 2.0. A strong push-in until the bottle fills the frame, with sound.A frosted amber glass perfume bottle stands on a wet black slate block. A single water drop slides slowly down the glass while a soft green haze drifts behind it. Slow camera push-in, glossy commercial studio light, no text, no logo.

Seedance 2.0. A moody push-in as the dog turns to the sea, with sound. No lighthouse.A golden retriever in a tiny yellow raincoat holds a small lantern on a stormy rocky coast at night. Waves crash on the rocks below and the lighthouse beam sweeps across the sky as the dog turns its head toward the sea. Slow camera push-in, cinematic.

Best for

✓Camera moves you ask for. In our product test it made the strongest push-in of the four video models we compared
✓Clips with sound: both of our test clips came with a sound track
✓Longer clips: Seedance 2.0 runs 5, 10 or 15 seconds, and Seedance 2.5 up to 30

Where it struggles

—It takes liberties with details. Our bottle came out teardrop-shaped with the drop falling from the neck, and the lighthouse in our second prompt never appeared
—It costs more per clip than Hailuo 2.3 or PixVerse V6. See all four side by side in our video generator comparison.

Prompts that work

Each one opens the studio with the prompt already in the box. They are also one click away inside the app, under the prompt field.
