Hailuo 2.3: close to the brief, at a low price
MiniMax's Hailuo 2.3 makes 6 or 10-second clips for a fraction of the flagship price. In our tests it matched the brief closely, without sound.

Best for
- ✓A low price per clip, well under Seedance or Wan
- ✓Matching the brief. In our tests the drop slid all the way down the bottle, and the lighthouse beam swept across the sky
- ✓6 or 10-second clips
Where it struggles
- —No sound: both of our test clips were silent
- —In our product test the camera barely moved, though we asked for a push-in
- —Our busy scene came out with a softer, animated-film look rather than a photo look. See all four side by side in our video generator comparison.
Prompts that work

Product shot
Try it →A frosted amber glass perfume bottle stands on a wet black slate block. A single water drop slides slowly down the glass while a soft green haze drifts behind it. Slow camera push-in, glossy commercial studio light, no text, no logo.
From text alone. Name the surface, the light and the camera move.
Busy scene
Try it →A golden retriever in a tiny yellow raincoat holds a small lantern on a stormy rocky coast at night. Waves crash on the rocks below and the lighthouse beam sweeps across the sky as the dog turns its head toward the sea. Slow camera push-in, cinematic.
A scene with many parts. Check every part appears before you use the clip.
